This October I’ve decided to commit to 31 minutes of exercise every day. That’s 31 minutes for 31 days which would amount to 961 minutes of exercise. It’s a perfect day to start. Whenever I procrastinate, I have the following excuses: I’ll start the beginning of the month or I’ll start on Monday, I want to enjoy my weekend. October 1st is of course, the first of the month and it also falls on a Monday.
Since I’m just getting back into exercising on a regular basis I figured I’d start with something easy. I’m not going to pressure myself into doing cardio, Pilates, CrossFit or Tabata. Usually the pressure from trying to commit to even one session and failing ends up being a deterrent or an excuse to just sit on the couch and binge eat.
This month we’re just going to try to take the first steps to a healthier lifestyle. Thirty-one minutes of exercise a day split up into shorter bouts will work. Split the time up however you’d like. If you can do the full 31 minutes during one session great. If you can only do 16 minutes and then 15 minutes, that’s great too. However you want. The main goal this month is to just do some type of activity for 31 minutes every day.
I’m keeping track of my activity by using my personalized inserts for my Happy Planner. I have pre-filled sections for everything that I need.
How about it? Join me for 31 minutes for 31 days?
